Dr. Alex Shaw
DDS., MS., MSc
American-trained dentist, Dr. Alex Shaw received his dental
degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco,
California, where he was awarded Omicron Kappa Upsilon
Dental Honor Society clinical excellence award, the Charles
A. Ertola award for outstanding performance in clinical
removable prosthodontics, and the International Congress
of Oral Implantologists award, among others. After graduating
from dental school, Dr. Shaw practiced dentistry in San Francisco and was a faculty member in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Implant Clinic at the University of the Pacific.
Aside from his doctoral degree in Dentistry, Dr. Shaw also earned a master's degree in Craniofacial Biology from University of Southern California, and a master's degree in Bioinformatics from Oxford University. Among his professional achievements, he has publications as author and co-author in various prestigious dental and medical journals, he has also lectured internationally on digital technology in dental implantology. Dr. Shaw is highly active in continuing education courses to bring top-notch dental treatment to his patients.
In 2007, he and his family moved to Taipei where he maintained a busy practice focusing in aesthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. In 2010 he started working at one of the top dental practices in Shanghai where he delivered dental care to the expat community for the next 14 years. In 2024 he and his family moved back to Taiwan to start the takeover of his father’s dental practice. He continues to be committed in providing the best dental care to his patients in a very personalized, friendly and caring environment.
Other than dentistry, Dr. Shaw enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and friends, reading and learning about new things.
